All About My Favorite Little Buddy!
I first got Chase on September 21st, 2010. I had seen other talking Zoruas on youtube and instantly fell in love. I knew I had to have one! I searched and searched but no Zoruas were to be found for under $100. Just as I was about to give up hope, I found CDJapan selling them for retail price plus shipping! I did many chores, commissions, and went to help my mom at work to raise the $56 I needed to buy one. When he finally showed up at my doorstep, I knew I would cherish him. Usually, my love for new plush will last a few months and then fade, but something was different about this little guy. To this day, I don't know exactly what it is about him, but I love him just as much as ever.
Just so everyone knows, yes, Chase does go with me to school almost everyday. I gotta look out for his education too. :P He's been with me for almost one year, so I guess he's technically a Sophomore this year? I am not ashamed to be a high school Senior who takes a doll to school. Taking him with me does serve a purpose. It helps ease my anxiety as I sadly deal with anxiety disorders. I find it very normal to do something like that. Just like others have service dogs for emotional support and others have good luck charms and other items to calm them, I have Chase. And frankly, it's much easier to take him places than a dog...
Update 5/5/14:
Though Chase no longer attends school with me(those darn college desks are ridiculously small), he has taken his place as my work buddy! He sits loyally by my side while I do paperwork from home. I did take Chase with me until I graduated. So technically, Chase is a high school graduate. Good for you, Chase! Plush education is so overlooked these days.
Update 5/8/15:
Chase is still here and enjoying a life of leisure at home here with me.
